HR Manager (Mandarin Proficient)

Location: Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara

As a key member of our team, the HR Manager plays a pivotal role in driving our organization’s HR strategy and fostering a positive work culture. Fluency in Mandarin and familiarity with multinational cultures, particularly Chinese companies, are essential for this role. Additionally, familiarity with IT or software development environments is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
  2. Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates, with a focus on attracting Mandarin-speaking talent.
  3. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management, while understanding and respecting multicultural dynamics.
  4. Serve as a communication bridge between the company and Mandarin-speaking employees, ensuring effective communication and cultural understanding.
  5. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices, considering the nuances of multinational cultures.
  6. Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate record-keeping, including coordination with international HR teams.
  7. Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance, recognizing the diverse cultural backgrounds of our workforce.
  8. Maintained employee records and ensured data accuracy and confidentiality, adhering to multinational data privacy regulations.
  9. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters, leveraging cross-cultural communication skills.
  10. Monitor and report on HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives, considering cultural sensitivities in data interpretation.
  11. Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes, with a focus on multicultural inclusivity.
  12. Collaborate with IT or software development teams to understand specific HR needs and develop tailored HR solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar HR role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
  • Familiarity with multinational cultures, particularly Chinese companies, and sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with experience in multinational environments.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification such as CHRP or BNSP Certification is a plus.
