Job Overview:
As the Credit & Collections Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the credit and collections processes in establishing credit limits and terms and ensuring timely payment from our customers while maintaining positive relationships.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing credit policies, monitoring accounts, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the credit and collections function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Policy Development
Develop, implement, and review credit policies and procedures that balance risk mitigation withbusiness growth, ensuring sound credit decisions are made.
- Customer Assessment
Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through comprehensive analysis of financial data, credit reports, and industry trends.
- Credit Limits
Determine appropriate credit limits for customers, taking into account their financial stability and payment history.
- Collections Management
Oversee the collections process, monitoring delinquent accounts, and implementing effective strategies to recover outstanding payments.
- Relationship Building
Maintain open lines of communication with customers, responding promptly to inquiries and working collaboratively to resolve payment issues.
- Team Leadership
Lead and manage a team of credit and collections professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Reporting and Analysis
Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, collection activities, and credit risk assessment to present to senior management.
- Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the credit and collections processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness
- Liasing with 3rd party credit providers
Work with Fintech and other 3 rd party credit provides to expand the credit offerings of GoCement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field/P
- Proven experience (8+ years) in credit and collections, with a track record of successfully managing credit risk and collections efforts.
- Strong analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and analyze financial statements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
